About Kisan Bhai
A small app with one job: keep a farmer’s daily records straight, in their own language, without getting in the way.
Why we built it
On most dairy farms the real accounts live in a notebook by the door: litres this morning, the vet’s fee last Tuesday, which buffalo came into heat and when. It works, until the notebook gets wet, the page is full, or someone needs last month’s total in a hurry.
Kisan Bhai moves that notebook into the phone the farmer already carries. Enter the milk after each milking, note the expense when you pay it, and the month adds itself up. Nothing to install on a computer, nothing to learn beyond what you already do every day.
Who it is for
Dairy farmers and small livestock owners in India - whether that is three animals or thirty. The app is useful from the first day you add an animal, and it gets more useful every month you keep logging, because the history is there when you need to compare.
What we care about
- Plain language. Every screen is translated into Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Telugu and English - not just the menus.
- Free to use. No subscription and no paywall. Advertising keeps the lights on.
- Light on the phone. It runs on ordinary budget Android handsets, from Android 7.0 up.
- Honest with data. We collect what the app needs, we do not sell it, and we delete it when you ask. Read the Privacy Policy - it is written to be understood.
Where we are going
The app grows from what farmers tell us. Features are added because someone asked for them in a feedback message, so if something is missing or awkward, say so - Settings › Share Feedback in the app, or write to us here.
