Frequently asked questions

Everything people usually ask before and after installing Kisan Bhai. If your question is not here, write to us.

Getting started

A free Android app for dairy farmers. It holds a register of your cattle, a daily milk log and a book of farm income and expenses, and it adds up the month for you on one dashboard.

Yes - free to download and free to use, with no subscription and no locked features. Advertisements inside the app cover the cost of running it.

Any Android phone running Android 7.0 (Nougat) or newer. There is no iPhone version at the moment.

Two ways: enter your mobile number and the one-time password sent to it, or tap Sign in with Google. Either way takes under a minute, and then you add your name and village so the app can greet you properly.

English, Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi and Telugu. Choose one when the app first opens, and change it any time from Settings › Change Language or from the language button on the dashboard. Your records are not affected by the change.

Using the app

Open the Cattle tab, or use Add Cattle on the dashboard. Give the animal a name, pick its type and gender, and add the ear tag number, date of birth, stage and mother if you know them. Only the basics are required - the rest can be filled in later.

Yes. Open an animal’s page and add a heat date, a delivery or a treatment. Treatments keep the details, the doctor’s name and the fees, so the animal’s history stays in one place.

Yes. Each animal is added with its own type, so cows, buffaloes and young stock sit together in the same register.

Open the Milk tab and tap add. Pick the date and the session, enter the quantity in litres, and add fat, amount and customer ID if you sell to a dairy. The dashboard then shows today’s total and the month’s total.

Yes. Milk entries, finance entries and cattle details can all be edited or deleted after they are saved - useful when the dairy slip does not match what you wrote down.

Yes. While adding an income or expense entry you can create a new category - fodder, medicine, labour, electricity, whatever fits your farm - and it is then available for future entries.

A small encouragement to keep your records up to date. You earn score for logging milk, adding finance entries, recording cattle activity, sharing the app and optionally watching a rewarded ad. The leaderboard shows monthly and all-time ranks. Score is only a game feature - it has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for anything.

It is a general forecast and can be wrong, as the app says on the weather screen. Treat it as a hint for planning, not a promise, and use your own judgement for anything that matters.

Account and data

Yes. Your records are saved to your account on our servers, so the app needs mobile data or Wi-Fi to save and load them. Ordinary 4G is plenty - the app is light.

No. Install the app on the new phone and sign in with the same mobile number or Google account, and your cattle, milk and finance records are there.

Your farm records are tied to your own account and are not shown to other users. The one thing others can see is your name and score on the leaderboard. We do not sell your data - the Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is collected and why.

Use the account deletion page or email support@kisanbhai.store with the subject “Delete my account”. We verify the request against your mobile number or Google account and delete everything within 30 days. Deletion is permanent, so note down anything you want to keep first.

Ads

Because the app is free. Ads, served by Google AdMob, pay for the servers and the development so that no farmer has to pay a subscription.

No. Rewarded video ads are entirely optional - they only give extra score if you choose to watch one. Nothing in the app is locked behind them.

Yes. On your phone open Settings › Google › Ads and reset or delete your advertising ID, or turn off ad personalisation. You will still see ads, but they will be less tailored to you.

Still stuck? Send us the question with your phone model and what you were doing when it went wrong - that is usually enough for us to reproduce it. Contact support or use Settings › Share Feedback in the app.
